30 October 2014, the first ultra-fast charging station in Beijing, China launched today at Beijing Capital Airport. The 450 kW charger can easily recharge a full electric shuttle bus in less than 15 minutes. The fleet of 17 ultra-fast charging full electric shuttle buses will operate 24-7 among terminals of Beijing Capital Airport, with a round trip of 22 Km each.
As the shuttle bus requires 24-7 operation, the Ultra-Fast Charging based Clean City Transit (CCT) solution is the only choice to fulfill the application needs.
The buses are built by Foton and Xiamen Kinglong, with Microvast LpCO battery system. Those buses will be used as service bus during APEC China 2014 that held in early November in Beijing.
