LONDON, UK, April 25, 2016 – Financial Times has announced the shortlist for the 2016 FT/IFC Transformational Business Awards, which regards as an “Oscar” for Emerging Markets, and Microvast has been nominated for Achievement in Low-Carbon Urban Transformation.
FT/IFC Transformational Business Awards is the unique global program that highlights ground-breaking, long-term private sector solutions to key development issues, focuses on the challenges around climate change, particularly in rapidly growing urban areas, with an emphasis on the capital, technology and innovation required for substantive progress.For the year of 2016, the awards have attracted 155 entries from 167 organizations, involving projects in 140 countries.
The Award for Achievement in Low-Carbon Urban Transformation highlights innovative projects and transactions that address challenges around energy demand and supply,environmental decay and other climate change-related issues in developing economies,with a focus on urban areas.
Microvast, as an advanced electric vehicle power solution provider, aims to realized the urban transportation electrification via its Clean City Transit (CCT) strategy, and has delivered more than 10,000 electric vehicle ultra fast charging battery systems since 2011. Those battery systems are in operation in over 100 cities among 6 countries worldwide, accumulated more than 620 million kilometers operation range and also reduced 60,000 tons of CO2 emission without any battery safety accident.
