With the fast-growing vehicle electrification and new energy markets in North America, the company is rapidly expanding its business due to the passion, focus, and expertise of our people. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, dedicated professional for full-time Application Engineer/technical manager positions. The incumbent will work with North America business development and global function teams to technically support our existing and new customers. This position can be offered at different levels depending on qualification.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Understand customer’s technical requirements and prepare a competitive response. Provide technical support of all aspects of battery system development as well as project management
  • Specification of requirements and development of technical solutions at system level
  • Coordination of the system interfaces between the individual departments as well as coordination of the same with the customer
  • Preparation of plans and monitoring of validation
  • Implementation of methodological analyses (FMEA, FTA, HARA)
  • Support during commissioning of products internally or at the customer’s site
  • Providing technical support both remotely and onsite when required
  • Create clear, professional technical presentations and documentation
  • Display Li-ion battery knowledge and experience
  • Learn and understand existing product portfolio, target markets and potential competitors
  • Promote the company’s technology and products by highlighting the differentiating attributes
  • Manage communication with internal technical experts, business development resources, and customers
  • This role requires 20-40% travel
  • All other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably an engineering degree in the field of electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or related fields.

Required Skills & Experience: 

  • Technical background
  • Experience in supporting customer engineering teams
  • Very good comprehension and analytical thinking skills
  • Technical experience in the field of lithium-ion battery systems and / or electric vehicle drives
  • Knowledge of development-associated analysis methods (FMEA, FTA, V-model, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the methods of advance quality planning / quality assurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill in English
  • Skills in written/verbal Chinese language is an advantage
  • 3-10 plus years of experience
